Giant Media today announced the hire of Spencer Janis as vice president of sales, North America. Janis will work closely with newly appointed CEO, John Cobb, to position the company to further capture the huge transfer of ad budgets from TV to digital video over the next few years.
With U.S. digital video advertising expected to surpass $28 billion by 2020, Giant Media continues to aggressively add industry experience to its leadership team.
“With 75% of media buyers expected to move budget from TV to digital video in 2016, Spencer’s multiplatform and programmatic background combined with his vast brand and agency network is the perfect complement to head our digital sales team,” Giant Media CEO John Cobb said.
Janis will lead all of North American sales for Giant Media and be responsible for the company’s four primary sales offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Florida.

Prior, Mr. Janis oversaw national and global sales teams across multiple media platforms at Viacom, American Express, Financial Times, and other leading outlets.
