Air New Zealand released a new Hobbit-themed video and contest where viewers could enter to win tickets to the World-wide premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in LA or a Middle-earth experience. Air New Zealand looked to Giant Media to generate mass global awareness through native video seeding and high-impact editorial placements. With the cast featured, and plently of Easter eggs hidden, the video hyped up readers for the second Peter Jackson film while reminding them that Middle-earth is only a flight away.
